Maine High School Basketball - Mountain Valley overwhelms Telstar
December 9, 2022: Rumford, ME 04276 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Mountain Valley Falcons (Rumford, ME) and the visiting Telstar Rebels (Bethel, ME), saw Mountain Valley's basketball squad wallop Telstar by a tally of 47-18.
With the victory, Mountain Valley improves its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Falcons travel to Spruce Mountain (Jay, ME) to confront the Phoenix in a B South challenge on Thursday, December 22. The Phoenix come into the challenge with a record of 1-0.
Next up, the Rebels confront the Madison Bulldogs (Madison, ME) in a C South challenge, on Monday, December 12. Telstar will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 1-0 record after their 75-13 league win over Boothbay (Boothbay Harbor, ME).
