In Friday's non-league outing, the Nixon-Smiley Mustangs (Nixon, TX) basketball squad beat the host Poteet Aggies (Poteet, TX), by a margin of 32-18.

The Mustangs (10-7) will now prepare for their outing against Marion (Marion, TX). The Bulldogs go into the 3A Region IV District 26 outing with a 7-8 record. In their last outing, Marion defeated Round Rock Christian Academy (Round Rock, TX), 62-19, in a non-league outing.
