Illinois High School Basketball - Belleville East crushes Lutheran North
December 9, 2023: Belleville, IL 62221 Belleville East Lancers (Belleville, IL) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Lutheran North Crusaders (St. Louis, MO), 65-27 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Belleville East upgrades its record to 5-3 on the campaign. The Lancers host Mater Dei (Breese, IL) to play the Knights in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 12. The Knights come into the bout with a record of 4-5. Mater Dei won 59-55 in their recent non-league bout against Pinckneyville (Pinckneyville, IL)
Next up, the Crusaders play the Hazelwood East Spartans (St. Louis, MO) in a non-league bout, on Monday, December 11. Lutheran North will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record. The Spartans come into the bout with a 2-0 record after their 47-46 non-league win over Warrenton (Warrenton, MO).
