Maryland High School Basketball - Severn School thwarts Bethel Academy
December 9, 2023: Severna Park, MD 21146 The Severn School Admirals (Severna Park, MD) basketball knocked off the visiting Bethel Academy Eagles (Manassas, VA), 69-53 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Admirals (2-2) will now prepare for their test against Archbishop Curley (Baltimore, MD). The Friars go into the MIAA B - Black test with a 0-2 record. In their last test, Archbishop Curley went down by Loyola Blakefield (Towson, MD), 56-32, in a non-league test.
The Eagles now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they travel to Woodberry Forest for a non-league test on Tuesday, December 12. Bethel Academy will encounter a Tigers squad coming off a 49-48 non-league loss to Landon (Bethesda, MD). The Tigers record now stands at 2-3.
