In Saturday's non-league outing, the Chico Panthers (Chico, CA) basketball squad edged the host Kennedy Cougars (Sacramento, CA), by a margin of 41-40.

The Panthers (8-3) will now prepare for their outing against River Valley (Yuba City, CA). The Falcons go into the non-league outing with a 3-6 record. In their last outing, River Valley held off Marin Academy (San Rafael, CA), 59-49, in a non-league outing.
