Maryland High School Basketball - McDonogh nudges Haverford School
December 9, 2023: Owings Mills, MD 21117 McDonogh Eagles (Owings Mills, MD) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Haverford School Fords (Haverford, PA), 44-41 in a non-league bout.
With the win, McDonogh upgrades its record to 5-0 on the season. The Eagles host Calvert Hall (Baltimore, MD) to clash with the Cardinals in a MIAA A - Red bout on Monday, December 11. The Cardinals go into the bout with a record of 1-5. Calvert Hall lost 59-54 in their recent non-league bout against Mount St. Joseph (Baltimore, MD)
Next up, the Fords clash with the Abington Friends (Jenkintown, PA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 12. Haverford School will attempt to upgrade on its 2-3 season record. The go into the bout with a 2-1 record after their 70-57 non-league win over Abraham Lincoln (Philadelphia, PA).
