John Paul II Cardinals (Plano, TX) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host St. Thomas Episcopal Saints (Houston, TX), 78-59 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, John Paul II upgrades its record to 14-3 on the campaign. The Cardinals host Trinity Christian (Addison, TX) to play the Trojans in a TAPPS 6A District 1 bout on Tuesday, December 12. The Trojans come into the bout with a record of 5-5. Trinity Christian won 65-54 in their recent non-league bout against Prince of Peace (Carrollton, TX)
