Georgia High School Basketball - Wilkinson County knocked off by Taylor County
December 9, 2023: Irwinton, GA 31042 The Taylor County Vikings basketball team scored 68 points and held the host Wilkinson County Warriors to 57 in the Vikings non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Vikings now sport a 5-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Chattahoochee County for a A D2 Region 6 contest on Tuesday, December 12. Taylor County will battle a Panthers team coming off a 59-33 non-league loss to Shaw (Columbus, GA). The Panthers record now stands at 1-2.
The Warriors (0-6) will now prepare for their contest against Dooly County (Vienna, GA). The Bobcats enter the non-league contest with a 1-2 record. In their last contest, Dooly County ran past Wilcox County (Rochelle, GA), 74-51, in a league contest.
