Nebraska High School Basketball - Pius X holds off Bellevue West

December 9, 2023: Lincoln, NE 68510

Fans at Saturday's league challenge between the Pius X Thunderbolts (Lincoln, NE) and the visiting Bellevue West Thunderbirds (Bellevue, NE), saw Pius X's basketball squad hold off Bellevue West by a tally of 55-50.

With the victory, Pius X improves its record to 2-1 on the campaign. The Thunderbolts travel to Westview (Omaha, NE) to confront the in a A District TBD challenge on Saturday, December 16. The come into the challenge with a record of 3-2. Westview won 66-60 in their recent league challenge against Omaha North (Omaha, NE)

Next up, the Thunderbirds confront the Elkhorn North (Elkhorn, NE) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, December 12. Bellevue West will attempt to advance on its 3-1 season record. The go into the test with a 3-0 record after their 69-42 league win over Bennington (Bennington, NE).
