Texas High School Basketball - Big Sandy topped by West Sabine
December 9, 2023: Pineland, TX 75968 The West Sabine Tigers basketball team scored 37 points and restricted the visiting Big Sandy Wildcats to 28 in the Tigers non-league victory on Saturday.
The Tigers now sport a 9-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Corrigan-Camden for a 2A Region III District 24 contest on Tuesday, December 12. West Sabine will battle a Bulldogs team coming off a 28-27 non-league loss to Colmesneil (Colmesneil, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 2-8.
The Wildcats (4-3) will now prepare for their contest against Goodrich (Goodrich, TX). The Hornets come into the non-league contest with a 6-10 record. In their last contest, Goodrich was defeated by Brookeland (Brookeland, TX), 46-27, in a league contest.
