December 9, 2023: Goose Lake, IA 52750 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Calamus-Wheatland Warriors (Wheatland, IA) and the host Northeast Rebels (Goose Lake, IA), saw Calamus-Wheatland's basketball squad knock off Northeast by a count of 46-34.
With the victory, Calamus-Wheatland upgrades its record to 6-1 on the campaign. The Warriors host Lisbon (Lisbon, IA) to play the Lions in a Tri-Rivers challenge on Tuesday, December 12. The Lions come into the challenge with a record of 2-4. Lisbon lost 52-31 in their recent non-league challenge against Springville (Springville, IA)
Next up, the Rebels play the Bellevue Comets (Bellevue, IA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, December 12. Northeast will attempt to upgrade on its 4-2 season record. The Comets come into the challenge with a 4-3 record after their 61-17 non-league win over Prince of Peace Prep (Clinton, IA).
