Idaho High School Basketball - Wood River edges Caldwell
December 9, 2023: Caldwell, ID 83605 The Wood River Wolverines (Hailey, ID) basketball nipped the host Caldwell Cougars (Caldwell, ID), 36-33 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Wolverines (1-7) will now prepare for their test against Minico (Rupert, ID). The Spartans go into the 4A Great Basin 7 test with a 5-2 record. In their last test, Minico got by Twin Falls (Twin Falls, ID), 61-54, in a league test.
The Cougars now own a 3-4 record. They play next when they travel to Columbia for a 4A Southern Idaho test on Wednesday, December 13. Caldwell will encounter a Wildcats squad coming off a 59-35 league win over Emmett (Emmett, ID). The Wildcats record now stands at 3-5.
