North Carolina High School Basketball - Freedom overwhelms Shelby

December 9, 2023: Morganton, NC 28655

Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Freedom Patriots (Morganton, NC) and the visiting Shelby Golden Lions (Shelby, NC), saw Freedom's basketball squad wallop Shelby by a tally of 65-19.

With the victory, Freedom improves its record to 4-2 on the campaign. The Patriots travel to A.C. Reynolds (Asheville, NC) to confront the Rockets in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, December 12. The Rockets go into the outing with a record of 3-1. A.C. Reynolds lost 57-48 in their recent non-league outing against Lake Norman (Mooresville, NC)

The Golden Lions now own a 1-3 record. They play next when they host Kings Mountain for a non-league outing on Monday, December 11. Shelby will encounter a Mountaineers squad coming off a 68-5 non-league loss to Clover (Clover, SC). The Mountaineers record now stands at 0-4.
