Texas High School Basketball - Gholson can't hold off Walnut Springs
December 9, 2023: Waco, TX 76705 The Walnut Springs Hornets basketball team scored 32 points and restricted the host Gholson to 30 in the Hornets non-league victory on Saturday.
The Hornets now sport a 4-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Iredell for a 1A Region III District 20 contest on Tuesday, January 2.
The (7-3) will now prepare for their contest against Mount Calm (Mount Calm, TX). The come into the 1A Region IV District 25 contest with a 0-3 record. In their last contest, Mount Calm was nudged by Nazarene Christian Academy (Crowley, TX), 43-28, in a non-league contest.
