Texas High School Basketball - Grapevine edges Lake Belton
December 9, 2023: Temple, TX 76502 The Grapevine Mustangs (Grapevine, TX) basketball nipped the host Lake Belton Broncos (Temple, TX), 49-46 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Mustangs (9-6) will now prepare for their test against Colleyville Heritage (Colleyville, TX). The Panthers go into the 5A Region I District 7 test with a 9-5 record. In their last test, Colleyville Heritage got by Trinity (Euless, TX), 43-37, in a non-league test.
The Broncos now own a 7-7 record. They play next when they travel to Shoemaker for a 5A Region III District 22 test on Tuesday, December 12. Lake Belton will encounter a Wolves squad coming off a 43-40 non-league win over Guyer (Denton, TX). The Wolves record now stands at 6-8.
