Oklahoma High School Basketball - Grove thwarts Vinita
December 9, 2023: Grove, OK 74345 The Grove Ridgerunners (Grove, OK) basketball knocked off the visiting Vinita Hornets (Vinita, OK), 42-28 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Ridgerunners (3-2) will now prepare for their test against Booker T. Washington (Tulsa, OK). The Hornets go into the 5A District 3 test with a 4-1 record. In their last test, Booker T. Washington went down by Tahlequah (Tahlequah, OK), 45-41, in a league test.
The Hornets now own a 2-3 record. They play next when they travel to Jay for a Verdigris Valley test on Tuesday, December 12. Vinita will encounter a Bulldogs squad coming off a 41-34 non-league loss to Berryhill (Tulsa, OK). The Bulldogs record now stands at 1-4.
