The Leesville Wampus Cats basketball team scored 37 points and restricted the host Merryville Panthers to 30 in the Wampus Cats non-league victory on Saturday.

The Wampus Cats now sport a 7-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Holy Savior Menard for a non-league contest on Monday, December 11. Leesville will battle a Eagles team coming off a 38-35 non-league loss to Westlake (Westlake, LA). The Eagles record now stands at 8-4.

The Panthers (7-5) will now prepare for their contest against South Beauregard (Longville, LA). The Knights come into the non-league contest with a 8-4 record. In their last contest, South Beauregard edged Iota (Iota, LA), 45-38, in a non-league contest.
