December 9, 2023: Weirton, WV 26062 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Madonna Blue Dons (Weirton, WV) and the visiting Magnolia Blue Eagles (New Martinsville, WV), saw Madonna's basketball squad overcome Magnolia by a tally of 49-29.
With the victory, Madonna improves its record to 1-2 on the campaign. The Blue Dons host Edison (Richmond, OH) to confront the Wildcats in a Freelance challenge on Monday, December 11. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a record of 2-2. Edison won 52-43 in their recent non-league challenge against Newcomerstown (Newcomerstown, OH)
Next up, the Blue Eagles confront the Ritchie County Rebels (Ellenboro, WV) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, December 11. Magnolia will attempt to improve on its 0-2 season record. The Rebels come into the challenge with a 1-1 record after their 62-44 non-league win over Wirt County (Elizabeth, WV).
