Virginia High School Basketball - Mecklenburg County winner over Prince George
December 9, 2023: Prince George, VA 23875 The Mecklenburg County Phoenix (Baskerville, VA) basketball felled the host Prince George Royals (Prince George, VA), 68-55 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Phoenix (3-3) will now prepare for their test against Martinsville (Martinsville, VA). The Bulldogs go into the Piedmont test with a 3-2 record. In their last test, Martinsville thwarted Dan River (Ringgold, VA), 50-26, in a non-league test.
The Royals now own a 2-4 record. They play next when they travel to Surry County for a non-league test on Saturday, December 9. Prince George will encounter a Cougars squad coming off a 49-39 league loss to Southampton (Courtland, VA). The Cougars record now stands at 0-3.
