Tennessee High School Basketball - Murray County tops Ooltewah
December 9, 2023: Ooltewah, TN 37363 Murray County Indians (Chatsworth, GA) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Ooltewah Owls (Ooltewah, TN), 36-23 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Murray County upgrades its record to 6-1 on the campaign. The Indians host Gordon Central (Calhoun, GA) to play the Warriors in a AA Region 7 bout on Tuesday, December 12. The Warriors come into the bout with a record of 1-7. Gordon Central lost 58-31 in their recent league bout against Rockmart (Rockmart, GA)
Next up, the Owls play the Bradley Central Bears (Cleveland, TN) in a 4A District 6 bout, on Tuesday, December 12. Ooltewah will attempt to upgrade on its 4-3 season record. The Bears come into the bout with a 9-0 record after their 64-42 non-league win over Knoxville Catholic (Knoxville, TN).
