The River Falls Wildcats (River Falls, WI) basketball nipped the visiting Northwestern Tigers (Maple, WI), 45-39 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Wildcats (3-4) will now prepare for their test against Rice Lake (Rice Lake, WI). The Warriors go into the Big Rivers bout with a 3-2 record. In their last bout, Rice Lake was edged by Eau Claire Memorial (Eau Claire, WI), 62-43, in a league bout.
