California High School Basketball - Yerba Buena overwhelmed by San Mateo
December 9, 2023: San Mateo, CA 94401 The San Mateo Bearcats basketball team scored 62 points and restricted the visiting Yerba Buena Aztec Warriors to 28 in the Bearcats non-league victory on Saturday.
The Bearcats now sport a 4-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Mercy for a non-league contest on Wednesday, December 13. San Mateo will battle a Bears team coming off a 59-47 non-league loss to Jefferson (Daly City, CA). The Bears record now stands at 1-1.
The Aztec Warriors (0-4) will now prepare for their contest against Independence (San Jose, CA). The 76ers come into the non-league contest with a 4-3 record. In their last contest, Independence triumphed over North Salinas (Salinas, CA), 57-46, in a non-league contest.
