Washington High School Basketball - Gig Harbor thwarts Capital
December 9, 2024: Olympia, WA 98502 The crowd at Monday's league challenge between the Gig Harbor Tides (Gig Harbor, WA) and the host Capital Cougars (Olympia, WA), observed Gig Harbor's basketball team knock off Capital by a score of 71-53.
The Tides (2-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Lakes (Lakewood, WA). The Lancers come into the 3A Puget Sound challenge with a 2-1 record. In their last challenge, Lakes was knocked off by Lincoln (Tacoma, WA), 87-58, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Cougars encounter the Central Kitsap Cougars (Silverdale, WA) in a 3A Puget Sound challenge, on Wednesday, December 11. Capital will attempt to improve on its 0-2 season record. The Cougars come into the challenge with a 0-4 record after their 79-47 league loss to Timberline (Lacey, WA).
