Arkansas High School Basketball - Cave City holds off Izard County
December 9, 2024: Cave City, AR 72521 In Monday's non-league contest, the host Cave City Cavemen basketball team scored a close 56-54 triumph over the Izard County Cougars.
The Cavemen (6-4) will now prepare for their contest against Valley Springs (Valley Springs, AR). The Tigers go into the 3A Region 2 contest with a 4-10 record. In their last contest, Valley Springs was tipped by Beebe (Beebe, AR), 71-59, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Cougars confront the Sloan-Hendrix Greyhounds (Imboden, AR) in a 2A Region 2 contest, on Friday, December 13. Izard County will attempt to better on its 4-2 season record. The Greyhounds go into the contest with a 14-4 record after their 49-40 non-league loss to Batesville (Batesville, AR).
