December 9, 2024: Gonzales, LA 70737 East Ascension Spartans (Gonzales, LA) boosters left the game satisfied Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the visiting Salmen Spartans (Slidell, LA), 61-49 in a non-league match.
With the victory, East Ascension upgrades its record to 4-0 on the year. The Spartans travel to Prairieville (Prairieville, LA) to face the Hurricanes in a non-league match on Thursday, December 12. The Hurricanes enter the match with a record of 2-4. Prairieville lost 78-46 in their recent non-league match against Denham Springs (Denham Springs, LA)
The Spartans now sport a 4-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host St. Paul's for a non-league match on Wednesday, December 11. Salmen will face a Wolves squad coming off a 66-62 non-league loss to Woodlawn-B.R. (Baton Rouge, LA). The Wolves record now stands at 4-4.
