Kentucky High School Basketball - Nelson County overwhelms Larue County
December 9, 2024: Hodgenville, KY 42748 The Nelson County Cardinals basketball team scored 66 points and limited the host Larue County Hawks to 28 in the Cardinals non-league triumph on Monday.
The Cardinals now possess a 1-2 record. They play next when they host Bardstown for a District 19 game on Friday, December 13. Nelson County will confront a Tigers team coming off a 71-35 non-league loss to Assumption (Louisville, KY). The Tigers record now stands at 1-2.
With the loss, Larue County falls to 0-4 on the campaign. The Hawks host Casey County (Liberty, KY) to confront the Rebels in a non-league game on Tuesday, December 10. The Rebels go into the game with a record of 0-2. Casey County lost 71-36 in their recent non-league game against Western Hills (Frankfort, KY)
