Florida High School Basketball - McKeel Academy can't hold off Lake Region
December 9, 2024: Lakeland, FL 33815 Lake Region Thunder (Eagle Lake, FL) supporters left the game happy Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the host McKeel Academy Wildcats (Lakeland, FL), 41-39 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Lake Region advances its record to 1-3 on the year. The Thunder travel to Ridge Community (Davenport, FL) to face the Bolts in a non-league match on Tuesday, December 17. The Bolts enter the match with a record of 4-3.
The Wildcats now own a 2-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Davenport for a non-league match on Thursday, December 12. McKeel Academy will face a Broncos squad coming off a 57-38 league win over Lake Wales (Lake Wales, FL). The Broncos record now stands at 2-0.
