Michigan High School Basketball - Mumford defeats Pershing
December 9, 2025: Detroit, MI 48234 The Mumford Mustangs (Detroit, MI) basketball were winner over the host Pershing Doughboys (Detroit, MI), 85-75 in Tuesday's league bout.
The Mustangs (1-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Southeastern (Detroit, MI). The Jungaleers come into the Detroit Public I challenge with a 1-2 record. In their last challenge, Southeastern was knocked off by Cass Tech (Detroit, MI), 73-45, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Doughboys encounter the Denby Tars (Detroit, MI) in a Detroit Public II challenge, on Friday, December 12. Pershing will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record. The Tars come into the challenge with a 1-2 record after their 74-59 non-league loss to Renaissance (Detroit, MI).
