Virginia High School Basketball - Yorktown victorious over South Lakes
December 9, 2025: Arlington, VA 22207 In Tuesday's non-league contest, the host Yorktown Patriots basketball squad scored a nice 64-54 victory over the South Lakes Seahawks.
With the victory, Yorktown advances its record to 2-1 on the year. The Patriots travel to Wakefield (Arlington, VA) to face the Warriors in a District 2 match on Thursday, December 11. The Warriors enter the match with a record of 2-0. Wakefield won 63-48 in their recent non-league match against Alexandria City (Alexandria, VA)
The Seahawks now own a 2-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Herndon for a non-league match on Friday, December 12. South Lakes will face a Hornets squad coming off a 71-63 league loss to McLean (McLean, VA). The Hornets record now stands at 1-4.
