The Kearsley Hornets got by the visiting Brandon Blackhawks basketball squad by a final score of 56-49 in Tuesday's non-league game.

The Hornets now possess a 1-1 record. They play next when they travel to Flushing for a Flint Metro game on Friday, December 12. Kearsley will play a Raiders team coming off a 41-38 league win over Lake Fenton (Linden, MI). The Raiders record now stands at 1-1.

With the loss, Brandon falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Blackhawks travel to Avondale (Auburn Hills, MI) to play the Yellowjackets in a non-league game on Wednesday, December 10. The Yellowjackets go into the game with a record of 1-0. Avondale won 47-30 in their recent non-league test against Port Huron (Port Huron, MI)
