The Laurel Golden Tornadoes basketball team scored 62 points and limited the host Callaway Chargers to 48 in the Golden Tornadoes non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Golden Tornadoes now possess a 8-1 record. They play next when they host Meridian for a non-league game on Friday, December 12. Laurel will clash with a Wildcats squad coming off a 47-28 non-league loss to Daphne (Daphne, AL). The Wildcats record now stands at 4-6.

The Chargers (8-2) will now prepare for their test against Germantown (Madison, MS). The Mavericks come into the non-league test with a 3-6 record. In their last test, Germantown overcame Ridgeland (Ridgeland, MS), 44-35, in a non-league bout.
