Texas High School Basketball - Tornillo can't hold off Patterson Institute
December 9, 2025: El Paso, TX 79999 Patterson Institute Lions (El Paso, TX) supporters left the game happy Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the visiting Tornillo Coyotes (Tornillo, TX), 34-29 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Patterson Institute advances its record to 3-5 on the year. The Lions travel to Immanuel Christian (El Paso, TX) to face the Warriors in a non-league match on Friday, January 16. The Warriors enter the match with a record of 2-7.
The Coyotes now own a 2-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Non Varsity Tournament Opponent for a non-league match on Thursday, December 11. Tornillo will face a squad coming off a 61-32 non-league loss to Caney Valley (Ramona, OK). The record now stands at 19-94.
