The Cape Fear Academy Hurricanes beat the host Topsail Pirates basketball team by a margin of 44-31 in Tuesday's non-league game.

The Hurricanes now have a 3-2 record. They play next when they host Harrells Christian Academy for a non-league game on Tuesday, January 6. Cape Fear Academy will confront a Crusaders team coming off a 47-42 league loss to Wayne Country Day (Goldsboro, NC). The Crusaders record now stands at 5-2.
