Maine High School Basketball - Cape Elizabeth holds off Yarmouth
February 1, 2022: Cape Elizabeth, ME 04107 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Cape Elizabeth Capers (Cape Elizabeth, ME) and the visiting Yarmouth Clippers (Yarmouth, ME), saw Cape Elizabeth's basketball squad hold off Yarmouth by a tally of 58-55.
With the victory, Cape Elizabeth improves its record to 7-8 on the campaign. The Capers host Fryeburg (Fryeburg, ME) to confront the Raiders in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, February 2. The Raiders come into the challenge with a record of 6-8. Fryeburg won 59-55 in their recent league challenge against Greely (Cumberland Center, ME)
Next up, the Clippers confront the Freeport Falcons (Freeport, ME) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, February 4. Yarmouth will attempt to improve on its 12-3 season record. The Falcons come into the challenge with a 9-7 record after their 59-49 league win over Gray-New Gloucester (Gray, ME).
