South Dakota High School Basketball - Crow Creek holds off McLaughlin
February 1, 2022: McLaughlin, SD 57642 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Crow Creek Chieftains (Stephan, SD) and the host McLaughlin Mustangs (McLaughlin, SD), saw Crow Creek's basketball squad hold off McLaughlin by a tally of 63-62.
With the victory, Crow Creek improves its record to 6-7 on the campaign. The Chieftains travel to Cheyenne-Eagle Butte (Eagle Butte, SD) to confront the Braves in a A Region 6 challenge on Thursday, February 3. The Braves come into the challenge with a record of 2-9. Cheyenne-Eagle Butte lost 73-59 in their recent league challenge against Mobridge-Pollock (Mobridge, SD)
Next up, the Mustangs confront the Herreid/Selby Wolverines (Herreid, SD) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, February 3. McLaughlin will attempt to improve on its 5-4 season record. The Wolverines come into the challenge with a 5-8 record after their 52-49 non-league win over Lemmon (Lemmon, SD).
