New Jersey High School Basketball - Elmwood Park nips Hawthorne
February 1, 2022: Hawthorne, NJ 07506 Elmwood Park Crusaders (Elmwood Park, NJ) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Hawthorne Bears (Hawthorne, NJ), 56-55 in a league bout.
With the victory, Elmwood Park upgrades its record to 8-2 on the campaign. The Crusaders travel to Emerson (Emerson, NJ) to play the Cavaliers in a non-league bout on Monday, February 7. The Cavaliers come into the bout with a record of 11-6. Emerson lost 45-42 in their recent league bout against Park Ridge (Park Ridge, NJ)
Next up, the Bears play the Glen Rock Panthers (Glen Rock, NJ) in a Bergen/Passaic - King bout, on Thursday, February 3. Hawthorne will attempt to upgrade on its 3-4 season record. The Panthers come into the bout with a 6-3 record after their 67-51 league win over Rutherford (Rutherford, NJ).
