In Tuesday's non-league outing, the Marshall Redhawks (Marshall, MI) basketball squad edged the visiting Portage Central Mustangs (Portage, MI), by a count of 77-74.

The Redhawks (12-1) will now prepare for their bout against Harper Creek (Battle Creek, MI). The Beavers come into the Interstate Eight bout with a 10-3 record. In their last bout, Harper Creek nipped Vicksburg (Vicksburg, MI), 84-67, in a non-league bout.
