The Linn-Mar Lions basketball team scored 59 points and held the visiting Cedar Falls Tigers to 45 in the Lions league triumph on Tuesday.

The Lions now sport a 12-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Jefferson for a Mississippi Valley contest on Friday, February 4. Linn-Mar will battle a Hawks team coming off a 56-49 league win over Waterloo East (Waterloo, IA). The Hawks record now stands at 7-12.

The Tigers (8-7) will now prepare for their contest against Waterloo East (Waterloo, IA). The Trojans enter the Mississippi Valley bout with a 2-14 record. In their last bout, Waterloo East was knocked off by Jefferson (Cedar Rapids, IA), 56-49, in a league bout.
