Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Laurel topped by Moniteau
February 1, 2023: West Sunbury, PA 16061 The Moniteau Warriors basketball team scored 61 points and restricted the visiting Laurel Spartan to 43 in the Warriors non-league victory on Wednesday.
The Warriors now sport a 8-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Cranberry Area for a Keystone Shortway - Large contest on Friday, February 3. Moniteau will battle a Berries team coming off a 48-46 non-league win over Commodore Perry (Hadley, PA). The Berries record now stands at 5-12.
The Spartan (4-13) will now prepare for their contest against Sewickley Academy (Sewickley, PA). The come into the WPIAL 2A 1 contest with a 2-14 record. In their last contest, Sewickley Academy was defeated by Aliquippa (Aliquippa, PA), 60-31, in a non-league contest.
