New York High School Basketball - Schoharie nips Fort Plain
February 1, 2023: Fort Plain, NY 13339 Schoharie Indians (Schoharie, NY) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Fort Plain Hilltoppers (Fort Plain, NY), 34-29 in a league bout.
With the victory, Schoharie upgrades its record to 7-9 on the campaign. The Indians travel to Berne-Knox-Westerlo (Berne, NY) to play the Bulldogs in a Section 2 Western bout on Thursday, February 2. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a record of 11-5. Berne-Knox-Westerlo lost 45-40 in their recent league bout against Northville (Northville, NY)
Next up, the Hilltoppers play the Oppenheim-Ephratah/St. Johnsville Wolves (St. Johnsville, NY) in a Section 2 Western bout, on Friday, February 3. Fort Plain will attempt to upgrade on its 1-13 season record. The Wolves come into the bout with a 3-10 record after their 53-37 league loss to Notre Dame Bishop Gibbons (Schenectady, NY).
