Alaska High School Basketball - Juneau-Douglas overwhelms Service
February 1, 2023: Anchorage, AK 99507 Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Juneau-Douglas Crimson Bears (Juneau, AK) and the host Service Cougars (Anchorage, AK), saw Juneau-Douglas's basketball squad wallop Service by a tally of 74-13.
With the victory, Juneau-Douglas improves its record to 10-3 on the campaign. The Crimson Bears travel to Lathrop (Fairbanks, AK) to confront the Malemutes in a non-league challenge on Thursday, February 2. The Malemutes come into the challenge with a record of 8-5. Lathrop won 41-34 in their recent non-league challenge against Palmer (Palmer, AK)
Next up, the Cougars confront the South Anchorage Wolverines (Anchorage, AK) in a 4A Cook Inlet challenge, on Friday, February 3. Service will attempt to improve on its 1-7 season record. The Wolverines come into the challenge with a 3-8 record after their 40-34 non-league loss to Ketchikan (Ketchikan, AK).
