Maranacook Black Bears (Readfield, ME) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Mount View Mustangs (Thorndike, ME), 66-27 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Maranacook upgrades its record to 6-6 on the season. The Black Bears host Oceanside (Rockland, ME) to play the Mariners in a B South bout on Monday, February 6. The Mariners go into the bout with a record of 15-0. Oceanside won 85-32 in their recent non-league bout against Belfast (Belfast, ME)

Next up, the Mustangs play the Waterville Panthers (Waterville, ME) in a B North bout, on Friday, February 3. Mount View will attempt to upgrade on its 3-10 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 2-7 record after their 41-12 league win over Winslow (Winslow, ME).
