Maryland High School Basketball - Catoctin can't hold off Urbana
February 1, 2023: Ijamsville, MD 21754 The Catoctin Cougars basketball team (Thurmont, MD), was nudged 38-35 in Wednesday's non-league battle with the host Urbana Hawks (Ijamsville, MD)
The Hawks now possess a 12-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Oakdale for a battle on Friday, February 3. Urbana will battle a team coming off a 53-17 league win over Governor Thomas Johnson (Frederick, MD). The record now stands at 4-0.
The Cougars (1-1) will now prepare for their battle against South Carroll (Sykesville, MD). The Cavaliers come into the battle with a 17-2 record. In their last battle, South Carroll edged Liberty (Sykesville, MD), 34-24, in a league battle.
