Virginia High School Basketball - Booker T. Washington topped by Hickory
February 1, 2023: Chesapeake, VA 23322 The Hickory Hawks basketball team scored 63 points and restricted the visiting Booker T. Washington Mighty Bookers to 48 in the Hawks non-league victory on Wednesday.
The Hawks now sport a 5-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Oscar Smith for a non-league contest on Friday, February 3. Hickory will battle a Tigers team coming off a 62-32 non-league win over Great Bridge (Chesapeake, VA). The Tigers record now stands at 10-0.
The Mighty Bookers (4-9) will now prepare for their contest against Granby (Norfolk, VA). The Comets come into the non-league contest with a 5-4 record. In their last contest, Granby was defeated by Norcom (Portsmouth, VA), 45-37, in a non-league contest.
