Kentucky High School Basketball - Henry Clay can't hold off Woodford County
February 1, 2024: Lexington, KY 40502 The Woodford County Yellowjackets basketball team scored 64 points and held the host Henry Clay Blue Devils to 58 in the Yellowjackets non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Yellowjackets now sport a 17-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Bowling Green for a non-league contest on Saturday, February 3. Woodford County will battle a Purples team coming off a 84-63 league win over Greenwood (Bowling Green, KY). The Purples record now stands at 20-4.
The Blue Devils (17-4) will now prepare for their contest against Moore (Louisville, KY). The Mustangs enter the non-league contest with a 9-10 record. In their last contest, Moore nudged Southern (Louisville, KY), 92-72, in a league contest.
