Virginia High School Basketball - New Covenant tops Kenston Forest

February 1, 2024: Lynchburg, VA 24501

Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the New Covenant Gryphons (Lynchburg, VA) and the visiting Kenston Forest Kavaliers (Blackstone, VA), saw New Covenant's basketball squad knock off Kenston Forest by a tally of 69-60.

With the victory, New Covenant improves its record to 14-3 on the campaign. The Gryphons host Virginia Episcopal School (Lynchburg, VA) to play the Bishops in a Virginia Independent challenge on Tuesday, February 6. The Bishops come into the challenge with a record of 10-9. Virginia Episcopal School won 55-51 in their recent non-league challenge against Steward (Richmond, VA)

Next up, the Kavaliers play the Banner Christian (Chesterfield, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, February 2. Kenston Forest will attempt to improve on its 17-6 season record. The come into the challenge with a 16-9 record after their 89-33 non-league win over Guardian Christian Academy (Chesterfield, VA).
