In Thursday's league outing, the Merit Preparatory Academy Knights (Springville, UT) basketball squad beat the visiting Utah Military Academy - Hill Field Thunderbirds (Riverdale, UT), by a count of 73-53.

The Knights (7-13) will now prepare for their outing against Rockwell (Eagle Mountain, UT). The Marshals go into the 2A Region 16 outing with a 16-6 record. In their last outing, Rockwell was topped by American Prep WV (West Valley City, UT), 75-55, in a league outing.
