Murfreesboro Rattlers (Murfreesboro, AR) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Mount Ida Lions (Mount Ida, AR), 69-24 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Murfreesboro upgrades its record to 16-6 on the season. The Rattlers host Caddo Hills (Norman, AR) to clash with the Indians in a 2A Region 7 bout on Friday, February 2. The Indians go into the bout with a record of 7-14. Caddo Hills won 79-52 in their recent league bout against Foreman (Foreman, AR)

Next up, the Lions clash with the Taylor Tigers (Taylor, AR) in a 1A Region 7 bout, on Friday, February 2. Mount Ida will attempt to upgrade on its 6-13 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 10-13 record after their 63-25 league win over Oden (Oden, AR).
