February 1, 2024: Melcher, IA 50163 The Cardinal Comets basketball team (Eldon, IA), was overwhelmed 64-39 in Thursday's non-league battle with the host Melcher-Dallas Saints (Melcher, IA)
The Saints now possess a 15-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lamoni for a Bluegrass battle on Friday, February 2.
The Comets (4-13) will now prepare for their battle against Keota (Keota, IA). The Eagles come into the non-league battle with a 5-12 record. In their last battle, Keota was overwhelmed by Iowa Valley (Marengo, IA), 39-36, in a league battle.
