New Jersey High School Basketball - Monmouth Regional overwhelms Lakewood
February 1, 2024: Lakewood, NJ 08701 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Monmouth Regional Falcons (Tinton Falls, NJ) and the host Lakewood Piners (Lakewood, NJ), saw Monmouth Regional's basketball squad wallop Lakewood by a tally of 46-12.
With the victory, Monmouth Regional improves its record to 13-4 on the campaign. The Falcons travel to Barnegat (Barnegat, NJ) to confront the Bengals in a non-league challenge on Friday, February 2. The Bengals come into the challenge with a record of 8-9. Barnegat won 63-28 in their recent non-league challenge against Brick Township (Brick, NJ)
Next up, the Piners confront the Donovan Catholic Griffins (Toms River, NJ) in a Shore B - South challenge, on Friday, February 2. Lakewood will attempt to improve on its 3-11 season record. The Griffins come into the challenge with a 5-12 record after their 56-24 non-league loss to Howell (Farmingdale, NJ).
